In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) move, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has spoken out about Taylor Swift’s presence at his team’s games. The coach, known for his tough demeanor and intense focus on football, made a controversial statement banning Swift from the 2025 Super Bowl.

“She’s a distraction,” Reid said. “We need to focus on the game, not pop stars.”

The statement sparked a wave of backlash from Swift fans, who called Reid “jealous” and “disrespectful to women.”

“Taylor Swift is an icon,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “She has the right to attend any game she wants.”
Others, however, backed Reid, saying Swift’s presence “overshadowed” the players and “took the focus” away from the game.
“I agree with Coach Reid,” another fan wrote. “The Super Bowl is about football, not entertainment.”
It’s unclear at this point whether Swift will comply with Reid’s ban. But one thing is certain: Reid’s statement has sparked a heated debate about the role of celebrities in sports.
And in a related development, Reid also announced that he is developing a new “anti-distraction device” that can block out celebrities at games. “It’s called ‘The Swift Blocker,’” Reid said. “And it’s going to be available tomorrow.”
